I was a classmate of Steve's at Baylor College of Dentistry in the early '70's. I remember his great sense of humor and his love of sports. No doubt he is missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.

As a Nederland classmate, I never knew Steve to be anything but a terrific person, one of those guys that everyone likes and admires. He was a natural athlete, scholar, and a tremendous leader and he made it look easy. It's not.
