Not sure what to say?

I met Steve as an infantry man in the 9th Division of the US Army in 1969. I knew him to be a upbeat, positive person that helped all of us deal with a dangerous and stressful situation. Got together with him only a couple of times over the years, and thoroughly enjoyed those moments.... Rest in peace Steve

I served with Steve in Vietnam in 1969. We have stayed in touch off and on ever the years. So sorry for your loss. He was a great person.

My condolences.

Sorry to read of Mr. Takacs' passing. He was my social studies (?) teacher in one of those cramped trailers outside Sanderson High School back in the mid-70s. I remember him to be very energetic, young, hip and moustached, making him easy to relate to as a teenager. I was also his teacher assistant, which usually consisted of pulling and organizing data from voter rolls. He also wrote many lunch-time library passes for this bookworm nerd recluse. Cheers Steve!

To Steve's Family, Sorry to hear of the passing of Steve! We grew up together in P'Burg a long time ago but still have the memories from those days> May he RIP.

Sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I met Steve in basecamp waiting to come home. We took a picture together and sent it along with a few words to the "Free Press" . It was hanging on the bulletin board in Joe's Steak shop for a long time. I have a few pix if the family is interested. RIP Steve
