I can't believe it has been a year already. I lost my Dad three weeks ago and found out today that a dear friend passed away last Thursday so the last two Januarys have not been pleasant. Marilyn I hope you are doing well. You deserved to have Steve much longer than you did.

My deepest and most sincere sympathy to Steve's family. I've known the Tyree family since the early 60s. The most loving, most caring, and most Respectful Family I ever knew and had the pleasure of knowing and loving. Loving them as family. (each one of them.) I knew Steve from the Marion Cadets back in 1969, when we had many good times. We reconnected a couple of years ago on FaceBook, and I visited with him again last summer at the Marion Cadet reunion picnic, not knowing it would be the last time I would see him. Good man, great musician, great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

All my condolences and prayers go out to Steve's family and friends. Steve and I were in the Keesler AFB Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps together back in the early 70's. Steve was a great friend and a fantastic musician.
