Not sure what to say?

Steve was my uncle, and I always enjoyed family visits with him. He was a soft-spoken and modest man. I enjoyed my conversations with him, and he had a pleasant, friendly demeanor. I miss both Uncle Steve and my Aunt Joan, and I think of them both often. Wonderful people.

Mr. Vargo was my junior high school principal in 1977-1978 at Brecksville middle school. He was such a wonderful man. I had a rough time during my 7th grade year and he was always there for me whether it was to counsel me or talk to me like a Dad would. I am so thankful that I got to know him. My memories of Jr high will always include him.. when I think of him I smile..
My deepest sympathies to the Vargo family. Please know how many people he helped out there and made a lasting...

Steve was the principal who hired me when I began teaching in 1975. Through the years he became my mentor and advisor, and enriched my life with his wisdom. Steve treated everyone he encountered with respect and kindness. He was that rare individual who truly lived the faith he so strongly believed in. I was blessed to have been able to count him as my friend.

The best. He was kind, and caring, and special to me.

" Good night, sweet prince. May flights of angels, sing thee to thy rest. "

" Thanks.... for the Memories... "

So many memories, from so many years -- and they are all good ones. I was privileged to know Steve well, and work with him, and joke with him, often. Even when we disagreed,it was never unpleasant, but profitable for me. He had the RESPECT, of all who knew him.

Steve was a great friend, fine math teacher, and wonderful principal. He helped our family in so many ways. We have sent a contribution to the Alzheimer's Association in his honor.

My heart goes out to the family and knowing Mr. Vargo was part of so many lives of BBHHS grads he lives on through a lot of us.

God bless you Mr Vargo. You were my principal at Brecksville High School (BHS). Thank you for your years of service. May God bless your family and grant your family peace.Sincerely, Laura Salasek '83

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
