Not sure what to say?

Coach Vitek was my coach, phys ed teacher and driving instructor. A truely kind man and a continued (continued to this day) influence in my life. Good teachers make a difference in life and memories never forgotten. Chris Sale '75

I was looking through the yearbook and saw coach Vitek and so I looked him up. I am so sorry to find out that he has passed. I had him for Drivers Ed. He was a very good teacher. Very patient and kind. Godwin HS Class 1986.

Coach Vitek was an inspiration to so many of his students and players. He was my first gym teacher in 1962 and inspired me to become a teacher and coach. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Our deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Coach Vitek´s family and friends. So much of what we all became, we owe to him and Coach Brown. He turned us from boys into young men. We all benefited greatly from his coaching skills and life lessons. Rest In Peace Coach. (Henrico, class of 1965).

I ATTENED NCSU WITH STEVE BACK IN THE MID FIFTIES. I HAD NOT SPOKEN TO HIM IN YEARS. THOUGHT I WOULD LOOK HIM UP AND WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING. I LAST SAW HIM AT A STATE GAME IN RALEIGH. MY SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY.

I'm sorry for your loss. I had him for Driver's Ed at Godwin and remember him fondly. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Our sympathy and prayers go out to Coach Vitek's family. He was a class act and good friend to all. His joy in teaching & coaching will always be a memory to make our hearts heal & smile.

I remember him fondly as a good coach, as well as a good friend. Praying for his family.
