RIP Mr. Waite. My condolences go out again today to the family. He is one of the teachers that made a difference.

So sad to hear of Stephen's passing. Knowing Steve, I'm sure God had a special greeting for him. Monika and I enjoyed being your neighbors while living in Chittenango. Steve was a man who served the community with pleasure. I'm sure he will be remembered for his integrity and compassion. Our prayers are with you and family.

Mr. Waite was an amazing teacher and track coach. He left amazing memories for me during my short time with him at Chittenango. I know he will be missed greatly.

The Thompson family have many good memories of Steve at our reunions, weddings, vacations, etc. Steve taught the younger kids to play bocce ball, he had a lot of patience & was always kind. He had a wealth of knowledge that he readily shared with others. He always made us feel welcome whenever we went to visit & stayed for more than a couple of days! I recall Mr. Waite as a quiet man with a ready smile. Although I did not have him as a teacher he impressed me as being a calm, capable educator.

I enjoyed many interesting history conversations and some scotch with Steve. Although I cut mine with a few drops of water and no ice cube like he did! Bette can't believe anyone could have read as many books as he did. Our condolences and we will miss him. Dave and Bette Ziner

Sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was a great guy. I spent many a wonderful day in home room with him. I can say he was an inspiration to me as I majored in math later in my life.
