How well I remember being taken out to a French restaurant in Providence as a Brown freshman twenty-three years ago with my dearest pal Alison. May Stephen's legacy in philanthropy in the arts and outdoors and public health inspire and enable others in perpetuity.

Jill and I were saddened to learn of Stephen's passing. It was inspiring to see Stephen living life to the fullest-both in good health as well as in declining health over the past few years. To us, Stephen was warm, caring and welcoming during our stays in Telluride. He wil be missed.
