Stephen Vann Walker

Stephen Vann Walker (Steve) passed away on Oct. 22, 2016 due to a single car accident in Illinois. Steve was born on Dec. 2, 1966 in Missoula, MT, along with his twin brother, Tom Walker.  Steve graduated high school in 1985 from Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines where he was a star athlete and an exceptional student. He attended UAB and played volleyball.  He was self employed, a tireless worker and an artist at his job. Steve had a contagious smile that would light up a room. His greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful dad to his children, always sacrificial, energetic and a true friend to them.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Abbey Marie Walker, and his mother, Bonnie Vann Walker, his brother, Thomas Clark Walker, his sisters, Jess Marie Walker, Jennifer Walker Nichols and his precious little dog, Cody. There was a celebration in heaven on Saturday as he joined his son, Stephen Vincent Walker and his father Barry Clark Walker. Our Steve loved to have a good time with friends and He gave willingly from a very big heart.  We will mourn and miss him and honor this amazing legacy of big smiles and generosity. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with the service to follow in the Chapel at 11 AM.
