Not sure what to say?

I loved Coach Walker, he was like a second father to me during my highschool years playin basketball for East Anchorage High. We honored him and his wife Marie as guests at our 50th high school reunion in Anchorage in 2011. I will never forget his smile and gentle wisdom as my coach and friend. He will live in my loving memory.

Marie. Sorry to hear of Earl´s passing. Always have thought a lot of both of you. He had a good run. When I was learning to ski at Alyeska and would see him on the mountain he would always make a run with me and give me some tips. I also competed against him in basketball and baseball and he was the ultimate gentleman. I always wished that I had his demeanor on the court and field. Greg Svendsen

About 6yrs ago I went back to Anchorage to be with Barrett´s B-Ball players. Earl was there great time! The next day having lunch with Kathy Ramp, Earle called me and wanted to talk about our days playing Basketball and Baseball We both played in the City league together. Good times. We had a lot of laughs he and he thanked me and I thanked him for showing up. God Bless. Bill Conner

My condolences to the Walker family on the loss of Earle. It was my pleasure to have shared the handball courts with "Coach" for several years. Whether as an opponent or a partner, our game was fortunate to have had this true sportsman among our numbers.

A great example to young people as a coach, teacher, and as an extraordinary human being.

A standout leader amongst several many of us as students at Dimond came to know personally, respect, and benefit from observing them as examples of how to be and live. I watched many a basketball game at Anchorage High School- the Frito Lay men´s team including Earll, his brother Jay, Dr Day and Doc and Jerry Hepler and others. So many memories I am thankful for and fortunate to have.

One of the best teachers and coache I have ever been taught by or witnessed coaching and teaching. My condolences and prayers to all his family. Paul Lindsay Class of 76 Dimond HS
