We have all experienced so many tragic, untimely, heartbreaking, and life-changing deaths, these past few years. Steve Warshaw was a friend and colleague at Lawrence Livermore for myself and husband Ken Dreyer. We stayed in touch up to recent years discussing science and life in general. He liked my holiday e-cards. Steve will be missed.

Dear Fran, Anne and Michael: I had no idea until early this morning that Steve passed away, or that he had been ill. He never mentioned it in our many long, and frequent emails. Thank you to Meredith for sharing the very sad news. 4 months is a long time to not acknowledge him and on behalf of Jay and I, my sincere apologies. We had so much to chat about all these years, and he was a great comfort to me always. May his memory be a blessing and a comfort. Your cousins Judith and Jay.
