Not sure what to say?

Such a difficult day of remembrance for the family. You are in my thoughts & Chris Sanford

I am so sorry to hear however belatedly. I came across Stephen while trying to get information on a great historical theologian by the name of Placher. Only to find both of these great minds from Wabash are gone.

A remarkable philosopher and theologian. A defender of animals. He is missed.

I found fellowship and validation for some of my deepest religious instincts in Stephen's work. Engaging with his writing has brought me comfort and a sense of not being alone with my convictions. I am very sorry to hear of his passing and I would like to join my voice with those who speak of missing him, and profess my hope that nothing is in vain, and one day we will all be reunited.

Knew D Webb from the second generation view point feeling his influence while giving a presentation with one of his students. A small ripple in the pool of time which will continue onward forever.
Pray for his children and hope for small visitations in sense or spirit of reaffirmation of their father's presence and love.
Families are forever

I took several classes from Professor Webb while attending Wabash College. He was an excellent teacher, and did a wonderful job facilitating interesting discussions about complex issues with his students. His passion for teaching and mastery of his material were evident. He helped make me a better writer and thinker, and for that I'm grateful. I want to pass along my deepest sympathies to his family.

A powerful writerI'm deeply moved by his legacy of word's. My deepest condolences to his family and friends

I had the privilege of interviewing Stephen for a documentary on the Book of Mormon two years ago. In the short time we were together, an instant bond formed. He is one of God's gifted sons. I'm so grateful we could capture his wit, warmth and deep spirituality on film.

May the Lord bless you and the children, Diane. I am comforted to know he is...

A good man, fine colleague and valued friend. He is missed deeply.
