Not sure what to say?

Loved your smile and dry sense of humor! Wonderful man to have had the pleasure of knowing.

This is the first anniversary of Steve's passing.
I think of him and Eileen with great frequency and often shed a tear when I do.

Steve and I met in the fall of 1944, in kindergarten. We became friends in first and third grade. (The entire first grade class skipped the second grade.) We cemented the friendship in the Parkchester West quadrant playground where, along with some of those third grade kids, we formed the basketball team that eventually became...

Happy Birthday, Love of My Life. I watched the birds over our bay today and wrote your name in the sand. Love EI

Steve and Eileen retired and wintered in Florida in the Fall of 2007, as we did also. The bond of friendship was made in the pool that year and continues today. Steve, we will love you forever

My wife, Marcia and I had not contacted Steve for many years (having grown up together in Parkchester), until "9-11". Marcia said, "He's right there, where it happened, near Joe; please check on them." I did and our ancient friendship was rekindled for another 15 yrs. One memory from childhood came to mind which I wonder if Joe or Howie remember; it was in Steve's bedroom. I think we were"Blackhawks" (pre-Eagles!) and we were trying to make basketball plays. I believe Steve said, "when the...

May the laughter you engendered and the dignity you demonstrated in your life live on in all those who knew and loved you. It is a beautiful legacy.

I've known Steve Weiss since the first grade and we were the best of friends. What made Steve so special is he never let health issues even at a young age prevent him from doing his life's work. Although we went our separate ways we always new how fortunate we were to discover each other. I am very comforted in my grief that Steve was so blessed to have Eileen by his side. Steve's passing on the opening day of the baseball season is perfectly fitting for a human being who was a winner all...

As He always said, You'll never get over it, but you'll get on with it. You are greatly missed and your words of wisdom will be cherished forever. Steve, my uncle, always took the road less traveled by and that made the difference. He will always be remembered as a man of great wisdom, love, and clarity. My favorite times were always spent together around the dinner table, where he would tell stories of his youth, our family, and our lineage. May we always remember his spirit and love. We...

Being such a great listener made it so easy for both Maze and I to talk to you. Now you two can talk Bronx talk again. Rest In Peace my friend.
