Gone but will never be forgotten!! Farewell my friend!

I always remember fondly Colonel Steve Westbrook. He was the best of the best when it came to technical knowledge of our finance and accounting rules, regulations, processes and procedures. Steve Westbrook was a strong mentor and a warehouse of knowledge for any Finance Officer. He helped shape my career as a young Finance Officer at the 2 Inf Div, Camp Casey, Korea, 1979.

My deepest condolences to the Stephen Westbrook family. He was a champion to his fellow officers and admired by all. What a fantastic man, whom we all will miss.

It is a deep loss to the Army and Finance Community. Our memories were many as his Brigade Deputy as his cooking was with his specialties. The Roberts expresses their deep regrets for your loss of a good man and great leader of troops.

My sincere condolences. I only worked with Steve for a few years, while he was with PDTATAC, but have many fond memories to include his dedication to DoD's mission and his encyclopedic knowledge of all things travel and allowances. I also very much appreciated his sense of humor, and thought I would share the attached photo.
