Not sure what to say?

Annie- My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I can see Stephen's smile...he was a wonderful person and I consider myself fortunate to know you both. Wishing you peace and strength. Hugs coming your way! Stacie Scott

Annie and family, I realize the inadequacy of words to comfort you in your great grief. But I would like you to know our thoughts are with you in your bereavement. With sympathy and warmest personal regards. Charles and Jennifer Trotman.

Dearest Annie - I can't imagine the pain you are feeling but please know that I think of you and your daughter often and am sending good thoughts your way. May peace be with you both!

May my thoughts and prayers be with the family and friends, dat this difficult time. I´ve known Steve for many years. Whether in Dc or Beltsville, MD, Steve always stopped by with his contagious smile words of encouragements and also we shared our meals choices from a small restaurant "Pasty´´s in Delaware. He will be truly missed. Cheryl Fentress, colleague FSIS,

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. We only knew Steve for a short while, but it seems like a long while.

I consider myself lucky to have known Steve. Being his friend meant you were always greeted with a smile and guaranteed a funny story about growing up in DC or running the BBQ grille at GDS. What was so impressive about him was how engaged Steve was with all the communities in his life. Most importantly, he was so proud of the amazing, beloved women in his life, Annie and Christina. He will be greatly missed, but his love for his family, friends and city will be always with us.

Steve was my co-worker and just a very nice and personable person that always had a positive attitude and was always interested in what was going in your life. He had a way of making you feel good after you had a conversation with him even if you were feeling a little down after talking with him you felt a little better! Just his positive outlook on life!

My warmest condolences to the Whatley family. Stephen was such a nice guy. Wishing the Whatley family peace and blessings during this difficult time. Yvonne Campbell

Deepest sympathies. I am so happy for the fond memories of Steve at so many GDS celebrations, field trips, and other functions. He was a dedicated father to Chrissy and always had a smile and a funny story to share. What a beloved community member!
