Stephen J. Wierzbicki, longtime resident of Utica, died peacefully Thursday morning in William Beaumont Hospital of Troy. He was 53 years of age.

Stephen was born in Detroit on July 4, 1953, son of Stephen and Agita (Zalmins) Wierzbicki. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Stephen was then united in marriage to his loving wife, Linda Reid, on November 1, 1975 at the First United Methodist Church of Warren. The couple made their home in Utica in 1986. Stephen worked for Patterson Dental for 10 years as a salesman and had been in the Dental Industry for over 30 years. He was a member of the VFW Post #334 for over 15 years. Stephen was very innovative, could fix just about anything, and love to “tinker”. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping. His favorite time spent was watching his sons play baseball and he never missed a game. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Stephen was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Stephen is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; cherished sons, Jason and Brian; loving mother, Agita; dearest sisters, Wanda (Harry), Kris (Dick), and Linda; and all the loving brother-in laws, sister-in-laws, nephews and neices. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Sunday 5pm-9pm and Monday 12noon-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Tuesday at 11am. Burial will be at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI on Wednesday at 11am. Share memories with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com
