Not sure what to say?

To John, Krystyna, Carl, Stan, Alex and the rest of the Wlodarczyk family, I was so saddened to hear about Steve's untimely death. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you at this time. I have such good memories of Steve, including our debates, the canoe trips and touch football in the backyard. So sorry to hear he has gone all too soon

Wlodarczyk Family
Sincere condolences on Steve's passing. My fondest memories of Steve were of him trudging down the back alley with his hockey equipment and tossing it in the trunk of my dad's car to head out of town for a hockey game. All the while he had a huge smile on his face because he was "going to play hockey". My dad coached Steve for a number of years and Steve was my dad's biggest supporter. Rest in peace Steve.

Steve you were a great friend to me but especially to my mom and dad. You will be dearly missed by us and all your friends you made over the years. There wont be a time when we have friends over knowing you wont be there to share your laugh with us and the great times getting together for christmas eve at mike and cathys. You will always be in my heart steve and you will never be forgotten.

I was fortunate to meet Steve while I attended UofS in the mid 80's. We spent a lot of our free time philosophizing about religion, art and life. When I would meet him at the Art department watching him create his structures he often asked me what I thought and change things around, Wow me a Psychology student. Steve was a great always listener and dependable friend. Like many of you, I went on my life journey and lost contact with Steve but always wondered about him. I eventually tracked...

Happened upon Steve at a mutual friend's 50th birthday this summer. Caught his unmistakable laugh. It's always harder when those with a true zest for life pass on so young. He did, after all, make a lasting impression in university. My deepest condolences to those who were close to him.

As I walked to the bus this morning as I always do, the sunrise was stunning. The palette of colours: violet, blue, orange, yellow and red grabbed my attention. I thought Steve would have brought my attention to them were he with me. He was an artist after all. He loved the outdoors. He appreciated the simplicity of such moments. I was sure I heard him in my head tell me "Look at the sunrise. It's beautiful." I miss him and will fondly remember him as a friend.

Steve was my friend and I am truly going to miss him. There won't be a Friday that goes by that I won't still expect him to come walking through my door for our usual night of telling lies and sharing laughs. I'm going to miss his wit and outlook on life. The things we shared will always be in my heart. Take care my friend, rest easy.

I attended university with Steve and played hockey with him on the Saint Thomas More hockey team. Steve was a very skilled goalie and a great teammate. We had a lot of laughs together and won a lot of hockey games. On behalf of Steve's STM Clerics teammates, please know that we mourn the loss of one of our brothers and offer our condolences to Steve's family and friends. Till we meet again.

So sorry for your loss of a wonderful man. I had the pleasure of working with Steve and spending some time with him socially at IG over the last several years. He was a fantastic gentle sole, well respected and liked by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by me and his IG family
