Stephen Lamont "Mont" Wooten

I don´t know what made me think of you tonight Cindy, but I did and am so sorry to hear about Mont´s passing. How terrible that he was so young. I hope you´re okay. It seems like yesterday that we bumped into each other in that little grocery store on Ninth Street and you so kindly invited me to a party celebrating your wedding. It was a hard time for me and I very much appreciated sharing in your happiness. It was fun to read about Mont´s love of music, including the Grateful Dead. ....

Mont was a talented, caring, and generous professional who served the citizens of eastern North Carolina with dedication and unusual capability. We will miss him as a colleague, but more as a reliable and trustworthy friend. Cindy and family, please accept our sincere condolences. His memory will continue to be a blessing for us all.
