Dear Ms. Wright, I was only two days ago that I became aware of Steve's passing. I first met Steve when he was working for Clark Converse and Sterling Enterprises in Bldg 135 and when I started working there in 1998. I will truly miss Steve, as we often crossed paths in the Suffolk Joint Staff Complex parking lot and in the test bays. We shared many a laugh, and many hours of exercise support shift work. I will truly miss Steve. You and your family have my sincere condolences and sympathy. Respectfully yours, John R Jirik

Words fail to describe the Love I had and have for Steve. I had always hoped we might have gotten together someday to Metal Detect again. I will never forget the time we had found an Antique Desk abandoned in an Old House on the Eastern Shore. We were driving back with it tied to your Boat, and we were FINALLY going to show you and Donna that Metal Detecting was more than finding Junk... Alas, but a huge semi-truck went by us about 90mph and blew the desk right out of the back of the Boat we were towing over the Chesapeake Bridge. I was driving, and I recall Steve looking out the Back Window of the Cab saying, "It's gone John! It's gone! We then both began laughing and were glad that the desk hadn't crashed into the car behind us, but was thrown right over the Bridge. If Jason/Justin ever want to go Metal Detecting/Fishing they are ALWAYS welcome here. I have a huge house to put one or both up, a nice boat, and 3 Metal Detectors, and go Ghost Town Hunting; as well as old Colonial Cellar Holes in the deep woods. My address is: 478 Hillside Ave. #2 Berlin, NH 03570
Love to you all at this and all times.

Dear Laura, I am so sorry to hear about Steve. Robert and I valued his friendship greatly. I tried to contact Steve and let him know that Robert had passed away this May. Steve and Robert were always laughing together. Well, I guess they are together laughing again. Go with God My Friend. I miss you!

We shared a brotherhood during a critical time for young men. Began exploring the realms of adulthood together, and stood together against all comers, with friendship as our strenght. Shared uncountable adventures and fun, where you were always quick to laugh. Your laughter was always deep and sincere, calling the rest of us to join in. After many years of travelling different roads, we were reunited, and the laughter returned. It is sad to have lost you so early, but I presume you are now reunited with Robert and Bob, who also left early, and would have welcomed you through the eternal gates. Rest easy my friend, until we meet again.

Thank you Steve for letting me know you the short time I did. You were always a brightener to me with your sense of humor.
I would not have changed a thing, and grateful we met. R.I.P. I will miss you....

We are so sad to hear about Steve's death. We know he loved his family and was so excited about his beach condo. He was quick to pitch in to make our community better for everyone. We will always remember seeing him out walking Coco and enjoying the nice ocean breezes.Though his time was too short, we're glad he was able to experience his dream of life at the beach with Laura. We hope that remembering the many special times you shared with Steve and knowing that others care, brings some comfort to you and your family.

I read my message and Jason & Justin's names were incorrect. I tried to retrieve message to edit it, to no avail. I've heard your Mom talk of you young men for at least 12 years, at work & I definitely know your names are Jason & Justin. Sorry for the mistake in my previous message. It was probably me but I'd rather blame autocorrect.

Sending my love and condolences to Laura, Josh & Jason Wright at this very sad time in their life. I know Steve was a very intelligent, loving husband & father and the couple times we talked at Christmas parties, he was a funny and very easy going young man. I was very shocked when I heard of this & immediately started sobbing for you Laura & the boys for having to go on without him. My deepest sympathies for you all. With love, Pat Vann

I'm shocked. Just found out this morning from a co-worker. Steve will be greatly missed. I worked with him at Ft Monroe and Suffolk and enjoyed his sense of humor.
