Can't believe it's already been 8 years since Stephen passed. He was a great guy and still miss him very much.

Very sad to hear of Steve's passing. One great guy. Myself and friends met Tubby at Philadelphia Park Racetrack years ago when he was living in the Philadelphia area. It didn't take long for Tubby to give us all a nickname. I was issued the moniker of Puddin. After not hearing from him for a while after his move to FL, I was finally able to get in touch with him in May of 2012. He was always upbeat. I know that the chemo treatment were very rough on him. Steve was a wonderful guy. We worked together at Citrix. My prayers are with the family at this sad time. I am know that the angels have him held tightly in their arms.

Fred, Sue and all the Zappia family. So sorry to hear about Steve. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He was a tremendous athlete and a great guy as well. I'll always remember talking hoops with him at the store on Washington Ave. Steve got me into suede Puma's which he said would help me play like Clyde! He'll be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Steve's passing. Steve was not only a great athlete, but a great person as well. My sincere sympathy goes out to the Zappia family.

I have worked with Stephen for the past four years at Citrix and I can say this news has troubled us all very much over the past week. Steve was a wonderful person and a bright light on any day. He will truly be missed.
