Stephen Jacob Zimmerly

Our family has been honored to know and work with the Zimmerly family for nearly 60 years. Steve was fun to be around and a pleasure to farm for. We found him to be a savvy businessman and a good steward of the land that he owned and allowed us to farm. Steve and Jenny made many improvements on the farm over the years. He had a good run and leaves a legacy that his family both past and present should be proud of. We were privileged to know him.

Steve was my only cousin. We grew up together in Peoria, IL until our life choices caused our paths to diverge. Nevertheless, we stayed in touch throughout our lives. What I remember vividly about Steve was his quick wit and commitment to family. He and Jenny attended each one of our three children's weddings, all at some distance. He added to conversations with keen observations and a hearty laugh, always adding a positive note. He also had challenges in his life, but he never gave up...
