Not sure what to say?

Sterling and I bonded freshman year over long distance relationship issues and were fast friends ever since. The news of his death has devastated me, and I can only imagine how horrid it has been for you all. Know that he is in the thoughts of all those who knew him at Wash U., as everyone he knew considered him a friend. My deepest condolences to Jana and his family.
Sincerely,

Jana and Sterling's famly,
Robert Bashinsky informed me about your loss and I am so sorry. I only had the pleasure to meet him once this summer(attempting to sell him Cutco), and he was a fine young man. Bless you all during these hard times!

Jana,
Our hearts and prayers go out to you and Sterlings Family. I am very thankful I met Sterling and got to know both of you. Margots sends her regrets and wishes she could be here. If you need one of us, give us a call. May God bless you guys during these hard times!

Most of my fondest first year memories at Wash U involve Sterling in some way. He was more than my next door neighbor, was a kind soul and one of the best listeners I have ever known. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and friends and all who knew him.
