Ruffin was a solid friend of our family for many years. We met when he sold our Glen Echo house for us and he also sold us our new house in Sumner where we still live, 25 years later. While I was chief engineer at WMAL Radio I found Ruffin's father's signature on extensive surveys of the station's 75 acre transmitter site in Bethesda. The site dated back to 1941 and is only now being converted to residential housing. Ruffin and I enjoyed each others' company in the church's men's group and...

Grateful for his presence at the church, always welcoming with a smile ready to get to know me and share stories. His family is in my prayers.
