My favorite memory of him is seeing him standing in the pulpit in Port Arthur, singing Life Is Like A Mountain Railroad (Life's Railway To Heaven). I know it is an old staple; but as I new convert, I had never heard it before; and boy, could he belt it out!

Blow the whistle for me and keep the fire up, Brother Plylant; till I join you in Heaven's roundhouse.

Some of the best messages I have ever heard and remember all came from Bro Pylant. I was glad to be able to call him a personal friend and spoke to him 2 times recently.

Bro Pylant was a very unique man. I have many good memories of him and his family while growing up in Florida. He was a good friend to my first pastor, Rev Billy Tummond. His messages were unforgetable. He now joins his sweet wife in Heaven!

Rev. Pylant was a great man. Remember him talking to my brother for hours about healing power. I know he will be greatly missed by his family and his church family. (Barbara Sister)

I have a few tapes of this Elder preaching, one being "The Legend of The Wedding Band", very good teaching! Also one message that he...

The thoughts and prayers of the Shew family are with the family and friends of Rev. Sterling Pylant during this time. May God comfort you all. Rev. Pylant's inspiring messages will be long remembered.
