I worked with Steve at St. John's High School and periodically kept in touch with him after he left there. I got to observe him with the students and as he did not come from a background as a career teacher he had a unique work/life experience perspective that really connected with the kids. He was genuine and kind with his time at the school and I always saw him at football games supporting the kids. He had a great sense of humor and we had many great conversations. Steve came from 'good stock'. - As a HoVal alumni, I remember his perpetually happy/friendly/caring demeanor, smiling face, and curly locks. - Condolences & Best Wishes to his family through these difficult times.

I hired Steve for carpenter work and his work was amazing. We became good friends over the years & he introduced me to Valerie. Steve was quite the philosopher. He helped me through some difficult times (Val too). I look at his work every day and many good memories come back. I can almost hear Steve in heaven right now, chatting away. May God give Val and his daughters the strength they'll need to carry on

Our friendship goes way back . School - riding my bike to your house . Eating PBJ sandwiches. Colorado . And most important that we had kept in touch with each other . Me telling you about my accident situation and yours . I´m glad that we were able to spend time on the phone many times .
