I was so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. In the more than 30 years that I knew Steve, most importantly as a dear personal friend but also as a professional colleague, I always admired his humanity, his kindness, his deep and abiding religious faith, and his limitless devotion to his wife Louie, his beautiful children and his precious grandchildren. Steve was a great lawyer and a dear friend. Like many in the profession, I depended on Steve's sound judgment and wise counsel. We had a nice chat this past Friday afternoon, just three days before his untimely death.
