Steve delivered wood to our house the past few years. I so appreciated his honesty, his punctuality, the gleam in his eyes, and his readiness to share stories from his life. Ironically, after the rehab from his heart attack, we had made a delivery date for two cords of hardwood, which he was very proud of, when the weather turned hot and he let me know he could no longer drive the truck in 80° heat. I will miss him, peace be with you, Steve Benson.

I work at Woods Logging Supply in Sedro-Woolley. Steve came in for all his chainsaw needs. Steve always had a smile on his face and wanted to chat. He had a kind heart. He will be greatly missed within the Woods Logging Supply family. Rest in Peace.

I bought firewood from Steve years ago. Always the best wood and service. Steve was such a kind man. I always enjoyed chatting with him whenever we crossed paths. Prayers for the family.

I knew Steve back in the 70´s when I coached his son in baseball and my daughter and his daughter were school friends. We often disagreed on issues but I admired his hard work. He didn´t always get a fair break out of life but he was a man of his word. RIP
