Not sure what to say?

I keep posting here, because, as I grow older, moments make me think of Steve. Usually, it is a thought/ smile/ laugh about a memory situation, but sometimes, it is a lesson learned and applied. Raising two boys - now 12 and 9, I think about Steve even more. The importance of an amazing friend throughout adolescence is priceless. I had that, in Steve. I wish my kids will have the same. Miss you buddy.

You and your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you, Steve. May God bless you and your family. Miss you man.

I need to follow up on Bryan´s comment below; he nailed it down perfectly. Steve was one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He was not only an amazing person, but he changed me an enabled me to be a better person. Not many people can do that. Never forgotten. For his daughter, please reach out if you want to know more about how awesome your Dad was. There are enough friends around to talk about him ;) it´s up to you.

I´ve never posted before and maybe it´s too late but thanks to our good mutual friend, Matt, I´m thinking of Steve a lot this weekend and felt compelled to share. Steve was a close friend for the short time we were both at McQuaid. I didn´t do a good job of staying in touch after that, though I wish I had. He was one of the first friends I made freshman year and I am so grateful to have known him and had the time we did together. He was adventurous, funny, and kind. But what I remember the...

Thank you, Steve. This coming Monday, I will most certainly take a moment to explain to my children the magnitude of what you, and others, gave up so we can live our lives in freedom. Thank you and may God bless you and your family.

As Memorial Day quickly approaches, it´s hard to believe it has been 15 years years since you gave your life for every American citizen, and every person in any location promoting or seeking freedom. You paid the most dearest price to protect all those that you knew, didn´t know, and yet to be born, in the name of freedom, and acted, completely selflessly. You are an American hero. You are a hero for all that seek freedom from oppression. You are a hero to my family. You will never...

Never forgotten, friend. Wishing all of your family the best on this day of remembrance. May God bless you all.

While I do love Ms. Childers quote: "Don't Let The Memory Of Them Drift Away, I realize that after 10+ years since we lost you, that quote doesnt apply to you.

I think of you more during Memorial Day Weekend, but, there are other random times in my life that just pop up and remind me of you. Sometimes, its a 90s music song that we used to enjoy. Other times, its a random life situation. Always, if I see a pair of nunchucks, especially metal; Im surprised I actually remember your...
