The Final Salute

“Brothers and Sisters in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Steve our Brother in Arms, Fellow Legionnaire, Voyageur Militaire, VFW & DAV Comrade, and MOAA member. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Steve. And to...

After watching an incredible story about Col. dePyssler’s life on television this am I immediately googled him. There are so many amazing stories of true humanitarians amongst us!! He was certain one. I can only imagine how many people he helped and that certainly is the reason God kept him on this earth so long. I’m so happy to have seen this story it just makes me feel good. God bless all of you.

I wish I was a better grandson than I was. I hear the stories of your life I feel like I barely new you. I am proud of your accomplishments you reached.

I served under Col D while at UTapao Thailand in 1972. Most amazing man I ever met and best boss I ever had in or out of USAF. He truly was a Living Legend even back then. My condolences to his family. God Bless
