Not sure what to say?

Dear Duritt Family,
I am truly sorry I never had the opportunity to meet any of you. Like many so far, I have known Steve for many years through Lou Mercuri Music. Steve would tease me as I took music lessons from Lou. Who is the student and who is the teacher?? He would hear my banter with Lou and tease me about being too hard on Lou - then tell me the stories about how Lou was tough on the other students to get them motivated to do better.
After Lou's passing, Steve and I had...

To the family and friends of Steve Duritt,

Along with everyone else who knew him, my family and I were stunned to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve meant a great deal to me and to my family.

To my late father Lou Mercuri, he was a student who became an apprentice and finally a highly valued and appreciated associate. After Lou’s passing, my family and I were delighted that Steve agreed to continue his work at Lou Mercuri Music. To see Lou’s creation continue as a...

Dear Duritt Family--I was a student of Lou Mercuri back in the 60's, but maintained a relationship steadily until he died. I didn't know Steve then, but I was aware he had this young helper in the shop, and it was this "young helper" who developed into a skilled craftsman and continued to operate the shop after Lou's death. When I needed some quality work on my instruments, Pat recommended Steve. I found that the young helper had grown up but was still there, doing the work he obviously...

Sandi,Paul,Tina and family, Although I attendended the services yesterday, I still can't believe Steve is gone. He was a great portion of our lives when Wynd was together. He was adored by my children growing up while the band was together. I am writng this with tears in my eyes, not only for losing Steve, but also being glad that we had the honor of having him in our lives. My prayers go out to all of you. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I know I am in Maryland, but I will...

Dear family members and friends of Steve Duritt, please accept my sincere condolences, I have only known Steve for just over a year but it was enough for me to consider him a good friend, I am deeply hurt due to his passing and I can only imagine how all of you must be feeling, but because of his great sense of humor, I try not to be sad when I think of him, I also believe that the word sad and Steve Druitt do not belong in the same sentence.
We might not understand why our Heavenly...

Dear Durrit Family,
I'm so sorry and shocked by the sudden lost of a dear friend to many of us. I have read most of the notes here and it is all so true. We have all lost a very special person. I worked with Steve for many years at Empire. Anytime I returned to area I made sure to get together with Steve. I got to meet some of you going to see Steve play at places like Ewing Twp. 4th of July events years ago etc. As someone said in one of the notes he was very knowledgeable and when...

To the Duritt Family...my deepest sympathies. I've only known Steve a couple of years, but it only took minutes to know he was a gentle soul. He could make you feel at ease with just a simple smile, or a silly comment. He was by far the humblest, most knowledgeable person I've known. I'm going to miss our Friday lunches together. I'm going to miss his advice and insight. It's going to be tough seeing his empty desk. I'm so glad I got to know him....what a wonderful, kind man.

To the family of Steve, I was a coworker of Steve's at Empire Abrasive.
It was my pleasure to know Steve. He had a great, dry, quiet sense of humor which left me hysterically laughing on the golf course. Steve will be tremendously missed at Empire. He was a professional in every sense of the word.
Rob Robinson, Empire Abrasive
