Not sure what to say?

Steve was a joy to know and reflected the very best of the FSU administration. He was a go-to resource for thoughtful and informed insights on university operations. He represented his faculty colleagues with much distinction. I was privileged to have known him during my service in the University System.

My condolence to the Steve Edwards family for the loss of their father.
I always thought Steve should have been an expermentalist instead of a theorist, he was too outgoing and friendly to live in the world that most theoretical physicists occupy.
Lucky to have known him for the 26 years I was a staff member of the department.

Ashley and Leigh, My deepest condolences on your loss. Your father was a good man and always had a nice word for everyone. I used to walked with him in the Keen Building, sometimes in the morning, him carrying his Mickey Mouse lunch box. He would always said he has his orders to get his ears lower or to go to the doctors or he would be in trouble. And when he left the main Physics office , he would say he was off to the Netherlands which was the floor of his office. He was a pleasure and...

Ashley and Leigh, our condolences during your time of loss. I will forever remember your dad's twinkling eyes and special sense of humor. Steve will remain in our memory for a long time. He will be greatly missed.

Ashley and Leigh, we are so sorry for the loss of your father. Your mom was waiting for him. Sending prayers and God's strength to help you both get through this time.

My sincerest condolences to the Edwards-Carothers family. As previous messages have noted Dr. Edwards was a gentleman of integrity and kindness. His leadership played an important part of shaping the FSU that we know today. I knew him mostly through his role as Dean of the Faculties where he served for many years as an advisor and helped guide me, as well as other new faculty, through the trial that is the tenure process. His kind words of encouragement and advice truly made a difference in...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. Steve Edwards, Jr. It was such a treat to meet him a few times. He obviously was a great man, with lots of spunk and highly respected.
God Bless, Ashley, Kim and Leigh.
With our love.

Edwards Family: The world has lost another great person. Having grown up with, gone to school with and my husband having worked as a Fireman under Chief Steve in the Quincy Fire Department, I knew this family well. They were all so smart and caring about their friends and community. Steve, jr always took the time to send a message to all the families in Quincy that lost a loved one. He never forgot his roots. A special message to Kay and Melanie. Jean Trim
