Steve Harper, 55, of Newton, Kansas, a Photo Editor and Outdoor Writer for The Wichita Eagle newspaper, passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 6, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, 2000, 1-9 p.m., and Wednesday, February 9, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., at Petersen Funeral Home, 215 North Main Street, Newton. Services are scheduled for Thursday, February 10, 2 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, officiated by the Reverend Mike Keating, of the First United Methodist Church, Newton. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
