Not sure what to say?

Steve, I was remembering when we played against each other / Berkeley vs Alameda / and later being teammates at Laney. We shared being opponents and buds .You are a good man a good friend . Joe

Leslie and Tad my condolences. Steve was as crazy as we all were back in the Berkeley Claremont days unbelievable memories And as loved as you all were. Rest easy Mase!

What I remember most about Steve when we were a BHS. He gave you time of day no matter who you were. A genuine good man. RIP my brother!

Steve was my teammate at Laney JC . We stayed friends over the decades . Steve always had a smile a ready laugh and loyalty to every friend . I will miss Steve .

I met Steve in the summer of '72 at Tilden Park playing in a pickup football game.We were teammates on the BHS Championship team and friends during school. Rest in peace,Brother!

Steve was my dad's boss at the concrete company, I'm very sorry for the family's loss, and during this time of sorrow may God bless you.

To the Mason family: I´m so sorry for your loss. I knew Steve in grammar and high school so it´s been awhile. It´s tough yo lose a sibling. I wish you peace. Cindy Slater Forsberg

Leslie, Steve´s sister was my friend in highschool. I´ll always remember her brothers´ Tad and Steve as a team. They were independent yet very close to one another. I never had brothers so I was always intrigued that they were Leslie´s "big brothers". We listened to Steves records while he was probably at football practice and were there for some great parties at the Gravatt House. I still have a flier for one! Good family. Good people. My love goes out to all the Mason´s. Especially Leslie....

Kindness and generosity, check. Steve showed up, check. We lived 5 hours apart and saw each other often, check. The world's and my and my lady's and Steve's circle of friends' QUALITY OF LIFE are deeply and joyfully better because of Steve Mason's soul. I miss my friend and brother, but I'm more grateful than I am sad. Amen
