Steve Medlin

I have rather dim childhood memories of visiting the Medlin home as a very young child in the 50s. However, I remember as we drove up, it was the "second hill" in Auburn going up the mountain. The "hill" was pretty open then & rural. My mother, Margaret Larson, was a friend of Jean's i think. We would just play while our moms talked.

Steve was my uncle and godfather. I'm so happy that all of you took the time to think of him. He was a wonderful uncle and was alway so incredibly loving to my three kids. Steve is missed by my whole family. Thanks again for writing to him he I'm sure is so pleased that he had touch so many. Love you uncle Steve.

I'm sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I lost track of him in the last couple of years. I thought he might be with Paul in Portland. Steve and I went to Placer high together, then attended Sierra College for 2 years. While taking physical and cultural anthropology we went on several anthropological digs together. Many of the artifacts that we found were put on display in several of Auburn's gold country museums. Sharing this bond of history...

Sad to hear about Steve's death. He was my neighbor. We use to walk to school together. Condolences to his family.

I too went to Placer with Steve Madlin, I'm shocked to hear this news. I'm so sorry for his passing, he was a great fella that had lot's of friends. He'll be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Steve's passing. We were in the same class at Placer High School and I remember his sense of humor. I know he will be missed.
