Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of knowing Steve while we were stationed together at Fort Leonardwood, MO in 1967. I was his squad leader at that time. I remember him having to walk to the airport to call his Wife and check to see how she was doing. She was pregnant at the time and he was concerned about her and how the baby was doing. He was a real "stand-up" guy. We talked back in 1977 and we talked about getting together and talking about Our tour of duty in the Ohio National Guard. For some unknown...

I was shocked to see that Steve had passed away. I haven't spoken with him in year's, 1977 in fact. We were both stationed at Ft. Leonardwood, MO back in 1967. He was his squad leader in AIT and I made sure that he was able to call his Wife as often as possible. She was pregnant with his Daughter Pam at the time. Please say how much I liked him to his family and God bless them All.

Rest in peace. Now you can get Grandma's special sauce. Save a spot for me.

When I was an eager young man yearning to get into the record biz, Mr. Popovich was a great influence along with Marty Moon, I never met either one and went into the home video business instead. ( they said I was to clean cut to make it in records! ). They helped put Cleveland rock and roll ( along with Hank Loconti ) on the map. Condolences

To the entire family of Steve, (including those of us he treated like family). I will miss Steve and proud to say I knew him. I was saddened by the unexpected news of his passing and the music business will be at an unrecoverable loss. I was lucky enough to be in the Cleveland record business at the best time and always looked forward to working with Steve, his knowledge, integrity, honesty and above all, his friendship.

To the Popovich Family,

You all are in our prayers at this sad time of your lives with the shocking passing of your dear dad. He was more than a man of music - he was a dear friend to all of us but mostly he was our dear "Kum"!! We have so many wonderful memories from our youth - going to school together in Nemacolin, Pa., taking tambura lessons from Father and all playing the tambura together, singing in our band and fun with all of our family. Steve, rest in peace and know we...

Steve Popovich family - I went to school with Steve back in Nemacolin, Pa., and Carmichaels, Pa. He loved music and was so proud of his heritage. I'm sure there is a polka band playing tonight.

My condolences from our family to your family. Bernie Gresko Carmichaels, Pa.

Steve, had a way of making everyone around him, feel like they were the most important person in the room. I used to love going to parties at his house, you never knew who, would be there but it was always interesting and fun, I'll miss him dearly. To Pam, Steve, Brit and the Boys, my heart goes out to all of you, we all have a huge void in our hearts to fill.
