I just came across this notice today, 05/25/2012. I have thought of uncle Steve often, and attempted to visit some years past, but discovered his house sold with no idea where he had moved. It was my search for him once again that led me to this notice. I am so sorry very sorry to read of his passing. My condolences to his daughter, my cousin. Candace Raab-Pavia

Steve was such a great guy. He was funny, caring, helpful, and so skilled as pilot, among other things. He was one of my flight instructors when I was a member of the Cleveland Soaring Society. He was always encouraging, and student mistakes didn't seem to bother him at all. He seemed to truly enjoy life!
