Not sure what to say?

Dearest Dad,

It's been two months since you passed, and I know you are with Tommy and your brother's and Nono and E, Uncle Edward just joined you too. I know in my heart you're with the Lord, free, at peace and full of joy to be in the presence of the Lord, this is my rock. I wanted you to know that I seem to think of you everyday, something beautiful in nature will catch my eye and I think of sharing it with you. I can still hear your voice. Some days I think that you are here...

Dad,

I know that now you can understand just how much I love you. You touched every part of my life and the life of my children. I miss your awesome smile and your beautiful blue eyes. I do not understand why you had to return home so soon, at times I cry out that it is just not fair. There are times I pick up the phone to call, to share something my kids have done, to share a story or a laugh but I can't. The healing comes in waves and so does the laughter and the tears. I...

Steve was a great brother and friend. He knew how to put a smile on my face, had a helping hand for anyone he met, a listening ear and gave advice to the young and old. He enjoyed watching my teen daughter play soccer, was at most games, until he became ill. He wanted my oldest daughter to pursue her great art abilities, which she is going to enroll at our local college. She designed a sticker for our local soccer club, that he proudly displayed on his car window. He was a sponsor over 15...

Steve was a good friend and neighbor. We lived down the street from Steve for 18 years. Our children played together from before they were in school right into sports in high school. Steve loved to watch the kids play team sports and was always highly supportive. Steve was a sportsman who enjoyed life, running, swimming, camping and the outdoors. He was a good friend and he will be missed.

I had no better friend than Steve Seely. Steve and I experienced life together as friends and competitors. We trained together; we ran marathons together; we build a twenty-two foot raft then drifted down the Mississippi from Vicksburg to Baton Rouge for five days. In the late seventies we wanted to experience what life had to offer regarding challenges. Steve was one great runner and competitor. Our life experiences bonded us together with cherished memories and experiences. I had no better...

I remember Steve quite well during the 1950's. He and Roger liked to see who was the most accurate at knife throwing. (I'd like to believe that they were equals.:-) I was invited and spent the night at their beautiful Gay Plantation overlooking the Mississippi River. I remember how huge it seemed compared to our "meager" homes in the Westdale area. Saw him only once after 1960. He seemed as nice as ever. I am sure, as Bobby Romans said, that he's in a better place with Chris, Roger and...

Steve, old buddy, you are in a better place. Look at it this way, you have been reunited with your boyhood, mixed breed, best friend, "Rockette." "Steve, why did you name him Rockette?" "Because he eats rocks," as he threw a rock for the dog to fetch and swallow. He treed many a cat so that you could climb it to the tippy top where branches were as big as your middle finger, grab the cat, and hurl it down to a waiting Rockette. They would go round and round until cat was back up another...

Steve had a tender heart, loved his family and treasured his friends. He had a close relationship with his Savior and that relationship carried him through the hard times. He will be missed.

Steve was my friend. He was always so congenial and fun to be with. I remember him, Roger and Chis so well. It is sad to see such good people leave us, but joyful to know Our Lord welcomes them to everlasting happiness.
