Not sure what to say?

I knew of you from my grandmother who has now passed on. I understand that you use to come over her house for dinner when you were at the gardens. She also made some of your jackets that you wore in the ring with all the sequins on them and she had pictures of you and your brother. Those were happy times for her, as she and my grandfather use to love to go to the Gardens and watch you fight. Probably one of your biggest fans. Rest in peace and check up on Mae & Frank Webber.

Steve and his "brother" Bob used to wrestle with my father in the late '50s/early '60s. Dad was known as Wild Bill Austin and Lord Essex. I saw Steve for the first time since I was a little girl in the late '90s in Las Vegas when my father died. I'm so sorry to hear about his death - in fact, I was just trying to locate him.

I was so very sorry to hear of Steve's death. When I was a child he dated my Godmother and often spent time at our home. I adored him and always referred to him as my Uncle Stevie. When things didn't work out for my Godmother and him I was heartbroken and I missed him so very much. I've never forgotten him and to this day have the little momentos that he had given me along with his photograph signed to me. Rest well Uncle Stevie; be at peace. Say hello to June when you're up there in...

I loved his shtick when he would offer his hand to his opponent and suddenly pull it back
