Steve..i can't believe i am writing in a book like this to you..of all people..it doesn't seem real..we've shared most of our adult lives together..in one way or another ..good & bad..i am so thankful that for over the last 3 years we were able to show our son that no matter what we loved him more than anything..how the 3 of us lived under the same roof..putting our differences aside..was just another great example of the wonderful dad my son has..it gave him another reason to look up to...

Stevie, my Brother. What can I say to you now that you have gone to a better place. Thank You for getting me my first real job at the Hilton. Going to Prom together, Thank You. Working at Neptune's Net together, Thank You. Going water skiing with you and George, Pat and Randy at Lake Havasu, Thank You for those memories. Thank You for being the best friend a man could have. Thank You for letting me be a part of your family, that is an amazing group of people. I can't say this about...

Stevie, You were always such a kind person and love just radiated from within you. I am blessed to have had you as my cousin and you will live forever in my heart. I am sure you are surrounded by all our loved ones that have gone before us and that you are celebrating at the table of our Lord in heaven. Until we meet again, I love you.

Steve always had a sincere smile for you that lit up his face. Such a blessing to all. Praying for his family .

We are very sad to hear of this, Steve and his whole family were a big part of what made our little town here in El Rio so much like home, our thoughts and prayers for Steve and the whole Velasquez family.

“Everyone loved Stevie. He always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.” This says it all — one is the kindest persons one could every meet! We always had a great time together — especially on the basketball court and countless summers of practice!
