Steve Wice

Steve Wice, 61, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 after battling health complications from Wegener's granulomatosis and diabetes.

Steve was born and raised in Morristown where he graduated from Morristown-Hamblen High School West in 1972, and East Tennessee State University in 1976. He moved to Roanoke when he was 23 years old, and worked for the Boy Scouts of America, the Roanoke City Department of Health and Human Services, and various other social services agencies for 38 years before retiring in December 2014.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Carl Wice.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Wice; sister, Pam Aldred; brother-in-law, Darren Aldred; brother, Gary Bacon; son, Eric Wice; daughter, Sally Wice.

It was Steve's wish to not hold any funeral or memorial services. In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family requests that donations be mailed to the Roanoke Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection in memory of Steve.
