Not sure what to say?

My family's thoughts and prayers go out to the Alexander family. I have great memories of early childhood years of the entire Alexander family. Although Steve was my brother's age and good friend, I had the good fortune to get to know Steve well over the past several years and had some great times with him rafting, talking about music and gloating together over Tar Heel successes. We will miss him.

I had known for several years that Butch would not recover, but that does not make it any easier to say good-bye. He was a great friend, a hiking buddy, and a confidante. I cannot tell you how much support he was to me during my separation and divorce; and he talked me through some very dark times and helped me understand that "this too shall pass." Mike, Angie and all the family,

We know hearts are sad and it's hard to find a place of understanding when loved ones finish the journey here. Please know you are all in hearts, thoughts and prayers!

May there be memories that bring smiles and memories that wash away your sadness by bringing tears to ease your hurt.

Love and sympathy to all ,
Frank and Becky

Growing up next door to the Alexander's, we had a lot of good times with Steve and the Alexander family, life was so easy back then. Our thoughts are with the Alexander family during this difficult time.

The Stahl family

I wish I could be there in person to offer my condolences, especially to my children. Please know that Butch and I did share some very good years together and I loved him very much. He is at peace now and I am sure God has him on a magnificent hiking trail. God Bless you all and may he give you comfort.

With love and sympathy,
Sherry
