Not sure what to say?

I am very sad to have experienced , when I tried to make contact via internet, that Steven has died. My thoughts are with Linda and his familiy. I am a former exchange student from Germany, who visisted the Alexanders several weeeks in 1983 and 1986, and Keith Alexander came to my family in Kassel as well. To stay with Steve and his family for me it was a wonderful and impressive time, not only to learn about the language and the country, but to be welcomed very warmly and felt like a son...

BY reading Linda's article in the paper today we learned of Dr. Alexanders passing. My grandmother was his 5th grade teacher in Homer, NY. She was very fond of Steve and I believe feelings were mutual. His father was my fathers family physician in Homer. Steve was our our family physician while he practiced in Dewitt, NY. He and my father always had a good conversation together. He came to my fathers funeral in 1998 in Skaneateles. Steve was a good man.

We are so sorry to hear of his passing, and even sorrier that we heard so long after it happened. He was a fine man and a wonderful doctor for several branches of the family, and as a matter of fact, was instrumental in my mother's returning to regular medical checkups, something she hadn't done in years, and it no doubt prolonged her life by a factor of many years. I will never forget that and will always appreciate it. He always had time to listen and help. Eric and Karen were in Rande...

I am sorry to the family of Dr. Alexander. He was my first Dr. and cared for my family right up until he retired. My parents always respected him for his knowledge and his caring ways. Although we never met his children, we felt like we knew them through the stories and pride he had. Sending warm and loving thoughts to all that are grieving at this time.

Linda and family ,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss . May you remember the wonderful life you shared .

I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a such a kind and giving person. I am so glad that Alex and I were able to spend some time with you both on our way home from Canada.

Dr. Alexander was our family doctor for many years starting when my children were young! He always knew what course of action to take to get them well again when they were sick! He always treated everyone with respect! His patience & kindness was always present while treating my family! He will be missed!

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Alexander. Our hearts go out to the family.

Dr. Alexander was, quite simply, the best doctor I have ever had in my life, and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Every time I was ill, he knew exactly what to prescribe, if I had a spot or mole that he noticed, he would remove it immediately, without reschedule. He just seemed to sense the right course of action every single time. How I wish I could continue to have him as my doctor today. Also, a great conversationalist, we spoke at length about many matters, but mostly SU sports. One...
