Not sure what to say?

We are sorry for your loss

Twenty years ago, at the beginning of my career in corrections I was introduced to Steve. From that first moment I was a believer. As soon as the opportunity came for me to become a trainer, I seized the moment. During my interview Steve asked, “why are you here”? My response,” I see how you and those who train under you are respected, I want a piece of that”. Steve smiled and said “Good luck with that”
As a mentor Steve’s wealth of knowledge and his willingness to share shaped my...

I enjoyed working for many years with Steve as my partner for U of M tailgating. I appreciated his help with my law enforcement memerobillia collection giving me some of his personal patches from his career with the Hennepin Co Sheriff's office. And although he would put up a little fuss, he would let me listen to Christmas music all day during our shift. He would say I was just like his wife who watched Hallmark Christmas movies all December long. I will miss you my friend.

Steve was our son-in-law for 32 years.
He was always willing to help--cutting the meat for holidays, bringing loads of wood for us to burn, and even tramping through woods and marsh to look for a lost dog.
He was devoted to Annette. That and his love of animals endeared him to us.
We will miss him

I am forever grateful to you & Annette for giving us (Cooper) a place to stay, your love, support and at times being that "Extra Dad" when I needed it most.
I will truly miss your stories, laughter, hugs and smile.
Thank you for being a man I was so proud to call my Uncle. Rest in peace

Steve you will be sorely missed!!! You were a true professional and it was an honor and a pleasure serving with you. Your smile , your laugh and sense of humor will always be something that I will never forget. Thanks for making me a better cop!!!!

Great guy RIP my friend

Thank you Steve for always being there for our family. Our son an daughters are so grateful for the helping hand you and Annette so readily extended anytime there was a need. You provided sound advice, excellent guidance and even occasional temporary lodging. You were their guardian angel.Your smile, laugh and wit brightened up all of our holiday gatherings and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. You were so tough while enduring such pain and suffering over the past 1 1/2 years....

I worked with Steve as a part time officer at the MN State Fair. More than a coworker, I thought of Steve as a friend. Someone posted a picture in the Guest Book from the Back to the 50's at the Fair. Left to right is Sharon Anderson, Me, Steve and James Packard. Steve loved working the Back to the 50's, not just for the cars, but the people. There was this group of cops from Chicago and its suburbs who came up every year to Back to the 50's, Steve called them "the Chicago boys." He...
