Backhaus, Steven 40, of Big Lake, died Tuesday. Survived by wife, Doreen; children, Kaylin and Cory; parents, Delmer "Del" & Nancy Backhaus; siblings, Pat (Jaime) Backhaus and Stacy (Paul) Berning. Funeral is 10 AM Friday at Word of Peace Lutheran, Rogers. Visitation is 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home and at the church Friday 1 hr. prior to the service. Not a day has gone by that I have not thought about a man that I did not know but feel connected too. I have wondered about what kind of person he was, what he was like, ect...One year ago today my two little boys and I decided to go for a walk by our house and it changed my life forever...I am so sorry!
