Not sure what to say?

A great loss! Steve was literally one of the nicest people I ever knew. We grew up in Mattapan together and spent a lot of time with his sister Anita and family . So sorry for Steve's family and friends

My deepest sympathies go out to you at this time. Steve was a wonderful man and I have fond memories of him and your family. I will remember him always

Fondness, memories of you and deepest sympathy to your family. May you rest in peace. Love your cousin Donna.

My heartfelt condolensces to Theo, and the entire Family. We spent many years living in Washingto Square and becoming good friends over breakfast or deli at the B & D *back in the day*. Steve ended up buying my house on Beacon Street before we eventually all moved on from there. WE had so many laughs and good times, his was a kind soul.. Best wishes to the family,
warmest regards,
Michael Tack

TO THEODORA, ALISHA AND BRETT-
MY DEEPEST REGRETS ON THE PASSING OF YOUR WONDERFUL FATHER. STEVIE HAD A SPIRIT OF GIVING WITH A DASH OF EMPATHY NOT ALWAYS GIVEN SO OPENINGLY.
KNOWONE PASSED HIS WAY WITHOUT FEELING BLESSED BY HIS COMPANY OR WARMED BY HIS LAUGHTER.
I CHERISH THE MOMENTS I SPENT WITH YOU THREE, YOUR FATHER AND SANDY. WE ARE ALL PART OF A LARGE DIVERSE EXTENDED FAMILY WHO HAVE NOW LOST ONE OF THE BEST CHEERLEADERS EVER.
IF YOU REMEMBER ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR FATHER...

Dear Theo,
We will never forget all the wonderful times spent with you, Mom and Dad, so many weekends together over the years. Great memories to treasure.
More recently you and Brett have been so caring and wonderful to Dad. He was so, so proud of you.
Love,
Candy & Brad

Growing up in Washington Square in the 70's and 80's everyone knew Steve. He would wait on me when I went to Gimbel's and I would wait on him when he sometimes came to Friendly's. He always greeted me with a smile and a friendly word. Steve knew my parents, my friends and sister and brothers. I have thought of him often over the years and wondered what had happened to Steve. Funny we were just one town away.... My condolences, he was a great guy...

Dear Berenson Family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. Who can forget the best boss and the fun times at Gimbel's Liquors, a landmark of Washington Square. Steve - always generous, funny, patient. He will be missed. Sincerely,
Mary Colson

I will miss Steve's humor and I will miss Steve greatly. My condolences to Steve's family and to his girl friend Shirley Issadore.
