Not sure what to say?

I knew Steve from the river, we have fished around each other for the past 30 years. I remember before he retired he would come out fishing until 8:30 AM or so and then he would be off to work. He was a good man and he will be missed by many!

We've known Steve for more than 50 years (Joanne remembers joking with him in the back of the school bus in 10th grade), and to say the least, he will be sorely missed. In addition to being kind, generous and fun-loving, he was one heck of a fisherman and (like his terrific wife Judy) a darn good nertz card player. Some folks may not be aware that he was a pretty fair athlete in his high school years, wrestling and playing tackle on the football team. (In our JV year we won every game,...

I have known Steve for about 14 years and he was one of the nicest neighbors a guy could have. Steve and I are both ex-truckers so we had that in common. But more importantly, we shared a sense of humor. We got a rise out of the neighborhood by yelling "insults" at each other from across the street. Even when he was going through various illnesses, Steve always had time for a good laugh. I'll miss Steve.

I first met Steve back in the 70's at ONC and I was driving for I-5. I was really pleased when he was hired at Willig as our dispatcher. He never asked us to do anything that he wouldn't have done himself. He had a great sense of humor and lots of common sense.
It was always great fun to find Steve on the river and share a story or two. It was always fun to be anchored next to him. After retirement it was fun to see him at the retirees breakfast in Oregon City and catch-up on what...

Steve was one of the kindest, most gentle persons I have ever known. Many great memories of fishing and rafting on the Deschutes River with him. Enjoyed playing golf with him the past few years, even though neither of us were very good golfers. He will be greatly missed by all of us. I know he will go on to a better place. Love you always, Steve!!!

The joys of his life will always be in our Hearts.. He was an amazing Husband , Father & Friend...
