Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors - Denton Obituary

Steven Douglas Boyd, 43, of Krum, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Denton, Texas. He was born July 1, 1975 in Abilene, Texas to Don and Rebecca (Tate) Boyd.  Steven married his soul mate Michelle Sutphin in 2010.

How do you describe the man who was so much too so many people? Steven is hard to put into print; he touched the lives of so many people and never knew a stranger.   Steven was the greatest artist, no paint brushes in his world, just beautiful metal works. He loved that his job was also his hobby.  He was a true Texan and his handshake was his word.  Steven's giving knew no bounds, his smile was contagious, his forgiveness knew no limits, and his hugs could erase the world. He was the greatest father, husband and friend, one who did not allow society to dictate who he considered his child, family and who he could love.  His family was his world.  The love story of his marriage is a once in a lifetime fairy tale.  Steven's passing leaves a void that will never be filled.

Steven is survived by his wife, Michelle Boyd; Sons Wade Wilson, Chad Boyd, Bradley Boyd, Daughter Adrienne Sweigart, Parents Don and Rebecca Boyd, Brothers Daniel (Karissa) Boyd,  Patrick (Kyle) Boyd, Nathan (Mandy) Boyd, and a large extended  family.

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. -- Unknown"

Services will be Thursday July 26th, 2018 at the Justin Church of Christ at 4 P.M.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a scholarship honoring him.  For further information, please contact the family.

Not sure what to say?

Your smile, helping hand, attitude toward life will be deeply missed. You were great here and will continue on in Gods grace. Love ya Kathy Lee

Steven was a good guy, to the core and he loved you and his family beyond words! We are so sorry for your sudden loss- prayers for comfort and peace during this most difficult time. God bless the family. We are here if and for whatever you need. Love Nate and Tanya Phifer.

With my deepest sympathies for your loss. Truly wish we could have been there to say our goodbyes and give you a loving hug.

My love and prayers go out to the family of Steven Boyd.

To the Boyd family,

I wanted to write this in memory of Steven.

It is with a heavy heart although not an empty one that I say that I am proud to have been a part of Steve and his familys life. Not empty as the love he showed everyone was enough to fill the heart time and time again. I say Steves family as being such a loose term. In his eyes, family was anyone and everyone that shared the same love for life as Steve did.

I moved to Texas eight years ago, and...

There are no words worthy of our entire staff's heartache when getting the message last Thursday. Steven for years was always always a Blessing and Joy to our office, whether just a phone call or an actual visit. He referred friends and family. We also knew him outside the office as a friend, but like a family member. He was always Positive , Happy, Thankful, Ethical, High Standards/ Morals. Michelle , one of the first things I think of is, he always thought of YOU before himself in all...

We were in the Howe Church of Christ youth group with Steven and his brothers and are so sorry to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Boyd family. His obituary is so sweet and heartfelt, and even though we haven't seen him in years, it's exactly how we remember Steven.

Michelle and family,
My prayers are with you. The suddenness takes us all aback. Please let me know if I can do anything... I knew him only through you and know he was loved with your whole heart.

Still shocked that you are gone. I am so glad that I was able to get to know you and that I will always have my wonderful shop to remind me of you and your love of welding. Only wish I could have got those lessons you were supposed to give me. Will miss hearing your truck go by. Michelle and Family ~ My heart goes out to you. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Steven.
