Not sure what to say?

Words cannot express how much you are missed. Your cartooning, your wonderful sense of humor, and your always helping hand to myself, my sister, my brother and your grandchildren...whom you love very much with all of your heart. Life will be shallow and hard without you Steve but I know we will be together again someday soon. Thank You for loving my mother so unconditionally. My heart is heavy but i do get comfort knowing you are at peace and with Cricket, Grandma,Grandma Flo,Phoenix etc. I...

As a member of HMM 365,who served with Steve during 1964-1965 in Danang,Vietnam, I can only say I'm saddened by his passing. He was a good Marine and a friend to all. His cartoons will live with us forever. We will miss him.

I only had the occassion to meet Steve on their trip to Oregon to visit our family. It was apparent from the minute I met Steve and Linda that they touched the lives of many people and continues to be apparent today with the touching memories you have all shared. I hope to find friends like Steve and Linda, who will offer friendship and support for many decades, as they have for my family here. My sincere sympathy to all who have been affected by Steve's passing. You are all in my prayers....

Steve and Linda have been good friends of my wife, Jennifer Yates-Large, and her family for decades. A few years ago, Jennifer and I travelled to Chicago for our anniversary. Steve and Linda instantly accepted me into their family.

It was as though I instantly had a new aunt and uncle. Both graciously accepted us into their home, showed us the sights of Chicago, and even opened our minds to "This is Spinal Tap", apparently one of Steve's favorite movies.

Linda,
Steve will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I am so glad that we got to be a part of his life. We have such great memories with you two. You will be in our prayers.

Love Tim & Jennifer

Linda, My prayers and sympathy are with you during this trying time of loss. While I only met Steve a couple times I have fond memories of him. The important role you both played in my mother's life is deepley cherished.

Steve brightened the lives of everyone with which he came in contact. How blessed you are, Linda, to have been loved by such an incredible man.

Steve will be missed by all.
I had the pleasure of working with Steve for a couple of years, not that we got much work done, but I have a collection of cartoons that I will cherish forever. Steve's humor kept us all going and laughing all the time. I will never forget the book that you gave me (of ever move I have ever made as an engineer with SBC.)when I left for Boston.
I am sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Steve was a "my Grandpa"
