Not sure what to say?

Dear Carol, Murray and family,

I read with great sadness about the death of Steven in this month's JUF news. Although I did not know Steve as he was so much younger than me, I know that the apple does not fall far from the tree. You both were such outstanding citizens of Waukegan and its Jewish community; he much have been just like you.

I send my condolences. May his memory be for a blessing.

Kind Regards,

Margie Kaiz Offer

I was so sorry to learn of your loss. Steve was one of my best friends growing up in Waukegan. I have wonderful memories of him from BBYO, Sunday school and high school. He was a great guy and a great friend. I am glad that I saw him in the last 10 years or so at a reunion and know his life turned out the way he wanted it to. He was very happy with his family and career.

My wife and I dealt with Pam and Browns for the last year or so as we redecorated our vacation home in Florida. In many store visits looking at samples, Steve always made us feel welcome and often kidded me about my name (same as his Dad's). Pam and family – may you be spared further sorrows and remember the good times you enjoyed with Steve.

To the Brown Family:
As I never met Steve face to face, I was blessed to know him from one of his favorite pass times, NFL football. He was a champion of picking the NFL games in our "Pick Sheet"... Just so happened he was the Champion this past season. He was a true gentleman. We will honor him this upcoming season by naming our future champions with the "Steven Brown Award". He will be missed greatly and our Pick Sheet will be able to honor him every year going forward.
Your family...

Dear Andrew,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. My husband and I are cyclists too and know how dangerous biking can be. I remember you well from Banyan Creek Elementary and hope you remember me, too.

One of the finest people I ever met. So sad to hear this news. He had a genuine and real warmth and kindness that we will miss.

Our parents were in each other's weddding and I will always remember Steve's contagious laugh and wonderful sense of life. My heartfelt condolences to the Brown family and my thoughts are with you during this time. Lots of Love
