I was on the USS Vesuvius AE-15(ammunition ship) with Gunners Mate 3rd class Steve Bruin. We made several trips on the gun line to Vietnam over several years. We also ran together back in the states
I liked being with Steve. We were good friends. I talked with him on the phone a couple of times after we got out
