Steve Brunner was a rare and gifted Leader from whom the very best could always be expected and received. Of the many fine legacies of Steve's extraordinary life is the Quaker Oats Plant in Danville Illinois. If not for Steve's leadership, courage and devotion to its people, the plant would have been closed in the mid 90's like so many others. As of this writing the Plant is still there, still thriving and still providing jobs and a good life to so many families; Steve would have liked that....

We worked with Steve at the Quaker Oats plant in Shiremanstown. He was instrumental in helping Sixto get his job.

My deepest condolences to the family. I grew up in Landisurg with Steve and a class mate at Green Park/West Perry -graduating class of 1967. When I heard of Steve's passing, the first thing that popped into my mind was back in second grade at Christmas. The class had pulled a name to exchange presents.
